Baking classes are offered around business demand, and only available during limited times of the year.
If we aren't busy teaching, that means we are busy baking!

Sift offers hands-on instructional baking classes inside the shop’s exhibition and working kitchen. Classes are taught by Pastry Chef Adam Young, and include two and a half hours of hands-on learning, sparkling wine, keepsake Sift apron, and your homemade goodies to take home and enjoy.
Classes are $95 + tax (per guest), and are booked on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. We are only able to host a limited number of classes per year due to business demand, and we are unable to host classes during the summer months, or around any major holidays. Some examples of our baking classes are listed below.
The best way to stay "in the know" about upcoming baking classes at Sift is to sign up for our email list here. Classes are shared and advertised via our e-mail list first, and then we use Facebook and/or Instagram to fill vacancies. We are unable to plan an advanced schedule, as the classes are booked around the bakery's baking schedule. If we are able to host a class... we absolutely will! "The Art of Viennoiserie"
We will indulge in the simple pleasures of breakfast pastries, and learn about the technique and tradition that goes into these morning treats. Together we will create a variety of croissant, laminations, and quick breads.
"Bread Baking 101"
Carbohydrate heaven! Guests will enjoy learning about different bread varieties, and the proper way to make a classic French Baguette, Focaccia, and Brioche. Make sure to have the olive oil and cheese waiting at home...
"The French Macaron"
Come and stretch your pastry muscles with our French Macaron class. This delicate and delicious confection is one of the most challenging treats to make. This hands-on class will give you pastry bragging rights!
“Easy Entertaining Desserts”
Need to whip up dessert in a pinch, and still want to impress your dinner guests? This dessert-focused class will show you how to make delectable desserts without the stress. From soufflés to crème brûlée, you may just end up skipping dinner all together!
